Pandal Hoppings (pandalhoppings.com, “the site”) is a free, independent guide run by Soham Das, Kolkata 700075, West Bengal, India. By using the site you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

1. What the site is

The site suggests pandal-hopping routes in Kolkata and lists pandals, metro stations, food stops and public toilets. It is information, offered free and as-is. We do not promise that any pandal, timing, queue, metro service, shop or toilet is correct, open or safe on the night you go.

2. Your safety

• Routes, walking minutes and queue estimates are our best guesses and will be wrong on some nights.
• Crowds can be dangerous. Follow police, volunteers and committee marshals, and never push against a one-way crowd flow.
• Metro timings are from Metro Railway's notice and can change without warning; check station announcements before relying on a late train.
• Emergencies: dial 112 (all services), 100 (police) or 102 (ambulance).
• Pandal entry is free. Anyone selling passes is not us.

You are responsible for your own safety and for the decisions you make while out on Puja nights.

3. Not affiliated

The site is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for any puja committee, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, Kolkata Police, Metro Railway Kolkata, WBTC or any government body. Pandal and committee names appear only to identify the pujas.

4. What you send us

When you send a report, note, photo or feedback, you give Pandal Hoppings a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use it to maintain and improve the site's data. You confirm that you have the right to send it, that it does not show a private individual who has not agreed, and that it is not abusive or unlawful. We may use, edit, ignore or delete anything you send. Submissions are reviewed by a person and are never published as sent.

5. Our content and data

The site's design, text, code, graphics, logo, routing data and the editorial parts of the pandal data (tier, theme and traditional scores, crowd levels, visit and queue estimates, tips) are © Pandal Hoppings, all rights reserved. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial pandal hopping and share links to it freely.

The geographic facts (pandal, stop and landmark names and positions) are open data under the Open Database License (ODbL) v1.0, available at /data. Use those files, with attribution to “Pandal Hoppings, pandalhoppings.com”, rather than scraping the pages.

Do not scrape the site, bulk-download its pages, call its internal endpoints (/api/*) from anything other than the site itself, present its content as your own, or use it to send unsolicited messages.

6. Third-party data and services

Street and metro data are © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). Coordinates also come from Wikimedia Commons and Wikidata. Metro timings are from Metro Railway's published notices. Google Maps, WhatsApp and Google reCAPTCHA are provided by their owners under their own terms.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, Pandal Hoppings and Soham Das are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the site or reliance on its content, including missed pandals, wrong queue or walking estimates, changed or cancelled metro services, closed shops or toilets, or injury or loss in crowds. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Changes and availability

The site is a festival-week project. We may change it, take it offline or stop it at any time without notice, and may update these terms by changing the date at the top.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Kolkata, West Bengal have exclusive jurisdiction.
